About Malina

Malina has always been a stickler for the truth, which made her friendship with Widlin Pierre challenging, at best. Unfortunately, despite her desire to remain friends with Widlin, she grew tired of Widlin's lies, and started investing her time in a new romance with Anton McCloud. Intrigued by the "Man of Mystery" as he called himself, the two immediately clicked and attended the 1st Annual Masquerade Ball. He became her new confidante and lover. But like any romance in Hallandale, they've hard their share of obstacles, like the vengeful Camille Bellows and Malina's ex- husband (Mauricio Gonzalez), or so she thought.

After stalking her for weeks, Mauricio revealed that they were still legally married. Furthermore, he would not sign the decree of divorcement unless she agreed to pay him five grand. She reluctantly agreed, keeping the secret of her marriage from Anton. However, during the final payoff on the docks, Anton's younger brother, Dylan, caught the two in an embrace. In short, Dylan, misinterpreting the situation, went to Anton and told him what he saw. Anton confronted her, and she admitted that the man was her soon to be ex- husband, Mauricio Gonzalez. The name struck a chord with Anton, but he shrugged it off.

Despite some initial qualms, Malina started a career at Nichol's Beauticon with Shaquanna Nichols. After discovering Malina's knack for fashion design, Shaquanna tried to encourage her to design clothing for the company, but she was adamant about not pursuing that side of her talents again. It was revealed later that Beau Devereaux (Anton's cousin) was behind her ex- husband's return. She initially resented Beau for exploiting her relationship with Mauricio, but realized it was fueling the unhealthy vendetta he was harboring against Anton. The trio agreed to leave the past behind them.
