Matthew Pryce
TMOOL's resident visionary psychic, Matthew has a heart of gold that reaches out to any and everyone he crosses.  Although there was a time when he wanted far, far away from Hallandale and its evil aura... that all changed when he met the lovely Dania Lombard, another resident psychic who shared his connection with the universe.  In fact, having Dana walk into his life was a welcome relief because it proved that he was no longer crazy (at least, now he knew for himself that his brother was wrong because there was someone out there just like him).  Unfortunately, that didn't stop his brother from knocking down his so-called psychic dreams whenever the opportunity presented itself.  It would be months before Matthew and Dana would realize the full potential of their psychic connection.  When Dana started receiving warnings from the universe that a widow's voyage would lead to death, Matthew was able to help her pinpoint the disaster to Michelle Dientes Alvarez' search for her husband's killer.

After hopping a plane and arriving in Coral Springs, Dana and Matthew passed through a local fortuneteller shop, where they got a special treat into their psychic past.  The fortuneteller did manage to leave a few details to their imagination, including the fact that another special soul like themselves was out there.  As for their reasons for coming to Coral Springs, the fortuneteller informed them that it was too late to prevent the danger headed too Hallandale, but that there was still work to be done at West Creek Camp.  When Matthew and Dana arrived at West Creek Camp, they walked right in the middle of a squabble between Brett and Danielle, who had just learned that Brett knew who was behind the hit that killed her sister's husband, Kasey.  Not wanting to interfere, the two retreated upstairs to phone their loved ones and let them know that they were okay.  When they headed back downstairs, they were shock to hear and soon see that a woman (Denise Sharrington) was holding Michelle, Enrique, Brett and Danielle at gunpoint.  Not wanting to alarm the gunwoman, Matthew and Dana planned a course of action before Matthew jumped in front of the gun wielding crime lord.  When Denise became aware of Matthew's presence, Dana lunged at her with a baseball bat, only to miss.  Just as Denise was about to fire her pistol, by some miracle, Matthew managed to switch places with Dana and took the swing, killing Denise instantly.  When Dana and Matthew were asked later to fill out statements of what happened, they realized it wouldn't be wise to include the little tidbit about Matthew's transition from one side of the room to the other, and asked Enrique and Michelle to keep quiet as well.  Realizing no one would believe them otherwise, they honored Matt and Dana's wishes.

Instead of heading right home, Matthew felt compelled to go back to the Palisades, thinking he would find some information on his and Dana's connection to the universe.  He was right.  They found a book dedicated to "Special Souls" of the past.  Matthew was surprise to see that his father and Dana's mother were among the large list.  When they did returned to Hallandale, Matthew shared with his brother his findings, but Earl was not at all surprised.  It was then Matthew realized that his brother knew all along about their father.  Earl tried to convince his brother that he kept the secret for his own good-- that the life Matthew was embracing was dangerous since the very gift that he had led to their father's death.  Furious to know that Earl not only kept details about their father secret from him, but neglected to tell him the very thing that led to their father's death, Matthew denouned Earl as his brother.

Matters accelerated even further when Matthew decided to cut all ties with his brother and quit Pryce International.  Matthew, along with Dana, then focused on telling Crystal about their findings, which was just in time for the grand opening of Crystal's new business with Billy Clyde.  However, tragedy struck when Matthew and Dana spotted a gunmen aiming for Crystal and Billy.  Shouting to warn them, Dana and Matthew quickly averted the shooter's sight after he shot Billy and fled.  Due to the critical nature of Billy's condition, Dana and Matthew decided it might be best to hold off on telling Crystal about her powers.  When a miracle finally happened and Billy awoke from his coma, fully able to breathe on his own, Matthew and Dana gathered their wits, fully prepared to tell Crystal the truth.  Crystal, at this time, had just discover Billy left the hospital before being discharged and was desperate to find him.  Matthew and Dana, however, arrived before she could leave to search for him, refusing to let her go until she heard them out.  Becoming agitated, she asked them to make their discussion quick.  As such, when they told her she had special powers, Crystal couldn't help but laugh at the suggestion.  However, they soon proved her wrong when they reinvoked her ability to see into the not so distant future, a gift that was very valuable in helping her locate Billy and one that Dana and Matthew wanted her to embrace.  When Crystal got a read, Matthew and Dana tagged along with her to Javier's apartment complex.  However, they waited outside as Crystal went in, hoping to find Billy and Javier.  She did and within minutes, Matthew and Dana soon bore witness to what Crystal and Billy saw - Javier's corpse glued to the pavement after jumping from his apartment balcony.  Thus, Matthew and Dana were involved in yet another crime that they had to answer to.

During the investigation, however, Matthew and Dana in a moment of involuntary weakness shared their first kiss.  The kiss, however, appeared to be a one time only event.  Of course, that might just be because a few days later, Matthew learned his brother contracted a deadly virus known as Blackadder36.  When Matthew finally visited with him, the sad fact that he took his brother for granted dawned on him.  All he could do was hope that somehow, someway, his brother would beat this.  In the meanwhile, he had Dana's tarot cards to guide him, only they fortold death, which Matthew believed to be Earl's.  After several weeks, Earl finally regained consciousness from his deep sleep, allowing he and his brother to seemingly come to some sort of understanding.  One has to wonder though: will it last once Earl gets out of that hospital bed?
