About Billy

Wealthy entrepreneur Billy Clyde had it all: a thriving business, a loving wife, and a baby on the way. Unfortunately, he had a wandering eye that drew him into the bed of Crystal Perez (who was also married). When their tawdry affair was exposed, a dangerous altercation between him and Javier Sanchez led to the accidental death of his wife (Angela) and their unborn child. Crystal ended her affair with him, divorced Javier, and left Chicago.

In the Fall of 2001, Billy arrived in Hallandale with plans for a business merger between his company, Fantasy Inc., and T.E.C. Restaurante. Crystal rejected the idea, believing that Taneia would also be opposed, given how hard they fought to break ties with Earl Pryce. Meanwhile, Taneia believed she could arrange a reunion between Crystal and Javier. Unfortunately, Javier found Billy's presence to be a recurring threat to any reconciliation. After Taneia left town, Billy felt more confident about his business plans, unveiling a new building, "Crystal's Fantasy & Associates."

CF&A's opening launch, however, was marked by gunfire. Billy was hit, and rushed to Leysdale Hospital, where he slipped into a coma. His recovery was touch and go. When he finally arose from his coma, he denied any recollection of the shooting. He later confided in Crystal that he believed her ex-husband was behind it, but she could not accept that Javier was a killer. Therefore, he investigated on his own, gaining access to Javier's apartment, but was caught in the act. After being repeatedly pressed, Javier recounted with glory how he pulled the trigger, hoping to be rid of Billy once and for all. Unable to face Crystal's shock and disappointment, Javier killed himself. In time, Billy and Crystal were able to move forward from those unfortunate events.

In season six, Billy's chief financial investor (Luxury Industries) drops his company. The new manager, Morgan Hysterias, explained that simple economics does not make it financially sound for LI to invest in a dying restaurant venture, and there was little Billy could say to assuage him.
