About Romain

Alexander is a man of enormous wealth, power and influence. He is use to getting what he wants, even if it means getting his hands dirty. He's the editor of Hallandale's sleaziest news rag, PRC, in which he has no qualms about exploiting the secrets and tragedies of the local residents. His eldest child, Widlin, is without a doubt the apple of his eye. Due to an extramarital affair with Denise Sharrington, he had a second child, Kyle. To salvage his marriage, he sacrificed a relationship with his only son by paying off his mother to leave town with him. Kyle returned to Hallandale years later, but time and prejudices strained the relationship deeply.

After his wife's death in the late 80s, it would be years before he would find someone suitable enough to be the next Mrs. Alexander Pierre. He foolishly believed newcomer Akeira Smith Santana would be his second chance, but he would discover in due time that she was nothing more than a lying opportunist after his fortune. Akeira tried to convince him that her objective changed over time, and that she really came to care about him, but Alexander coldly rejected her. To her horror, Akeira later learned she was pregnant with his child. Given the state of her relationship with Alexander, she chose to keep the news to herself, even more so after he inadvertently put the baby's life at risk by physically assaulting her. It was then Alexander heard the first rumbling that she was pregnant. He refused to believe it until he had concrete evidence. By the time he retrieved enough proof to confront her, Akeira had fled the state for parts unknown.

In season five, having driven away his daughter after dismantling her relationship with Darron Wolek, Alexander found himself all alone with nothing but his paper to keep him company. As a result, he re-launched his search for Akeira and their unborn child. The search turned up several dead leads, so he summoned his daughter for insight. Widlin, however, wanted no part in the resurrection of his father's former flame, and advised him to reach out to the son he has in Hallandale if he really wants to retore the Pierre family. Taking her suggestion to heart, he crashes his son's engagement, expressing his desire to make amends.
